Playing the Montreux Jazz Festival was a great experience. The first time was with Kid Loco, and the second time with the Gotan Project, during a special night hosted by Gilles Peterson, including Koop and Herbert premiering with its big band.

Gôrkem Ünal is a young Turkish photographer. She was on the advertizing business in New York, got fed up, moved to Paris shooting B&W and eventually getting bigger and bigger as a fashion photographer in Istambul... In the process, we end up doing a book together (Paris(01) published by La Dernière Pluie).

Scott LaFaro was some sort of obsession for me at some point. I kept looking up for informations, slowly picking up evidences about his short life and career (he died at 26 after setting up the grounds for modern double-bass in jazz). During six years, I searched, interviewing his fellow partners (Stan Getz, Paul Bley, Paul Motian...) I learned a lot about music and took a in-depth sight of the jazz scene in NYC and LA from 55 to 61. Eventually, I ended up writing a biographical essay, published by les Cahiers du Jazz .
Someone took over and used it for her musicology thesis.

bumbumTv was there twice actually. Once during a WebTV conference, then it was projected on a huge globe on the main hall during les Rendez-Vous Electroniques.It was also seen and exposed in La Villette, Grande Halle, during the Mixmove.

In the beginning, bumbumTv was mainly a keaton-like joke, something to go along with tracks with silly names such as: lélélé or bimbamboom. It became the epitome of lounge, sort of. The tracks did great too, thanks.

Brifo is a location in the Upper West Region of Ghana, renowned for its natural springs.

Brifo was another slang term for hemp amongst musicians in the thirties.
