The first time was with Kid Loco, and the second time with
the Gotan Project, during a special night hosted by Gilles

Scott LaFaro was some sort of obsession for me at some point.
I kept looking up for informations, slowly picking up evidences
about his short life and career (he died at 26 after setting
up the grounds for modern double-bass in jazz). During six
years, I searched, interviewing his fellow partners (Stan
Getz, Paul Bley, Paul Motian...) I learned a lot about music
and took a in-depth sight of the jazz scene in NYC and LA
from 55 to 61. Eventually, I ended up writing a biographical
essay, published by les Cahiers du Jazz .
Someone took over and used it for her musicology thesis.

In the beginning, bumbumTv was mainly a keaton-like joke,
something to go along with tracks with silly names such as:
lélélé or bimbamboom. It became the epitome
of lounge, sort of. The tracks did great too, thanks.
